Not My Cup of Tea | NARS and Michael Todd Cleansers

These two cleansers do not work for me, so I have given them away.  Not that they are bad brew, just not my cup.

Nars Skin Purifying Foam Cleanser* says it does a lot of things, from removing make up, exfoliating, to brightening the skin.  I do appreciate that it is a non-abrasive cleanser, with a small density of soft round beads to mechanically remove dead skin cells.  It does leave skin quite clean.  However, it is formulated for normal to oily/combination skin and I'm barely half greasy the skin made for this cleanser.  My dry flaky skin roars after washing it with this, and I find the formula itself a little strong for my skin.  I did try it both Summer and Winter, and I figure I shouldn't keep it until forever.

Michael Todd True Organics Honey and Oat Gentle Deep Pore Cleanser, unlike the Nars, is designed for dry skin.  Since its arrival, I have tried this on and off multiple times trying to like it.  At $22, I expect it to be fairly decent, which it isn't particularly.  I would say it doesn't dry out my skin, and agree it doesn't strip skin's natural moisture (if mine has any).  However, the scent and consistency of this isn't right.  I do not like how it smell, and its gel texture, while quite reminds one of honey, doesn't hydrate the skin like real honey.  Another big thumb down is, this came leaking in the mail.  For a mediocre cleansing power (not deep pore by any means), and not so great hydrating properties, I'll skip this.
