Last month, while I was tidying my skin care closet/cupboard, I dug out a bag of back-ups that are going to expire in 2013. There is no way I can finish all of them, so I hurried packing them up and sending them away to friends. To be honest, I am quite angry with myself. I thought I was saving money when I buy things in bundles, but turned out, the back-ups don't get loved or used in time, meaning a waste of money in reality. That's when I wanted to join in the 100 Day Spending Ban.
First, I heard about this 100 Day Spending Ban from Hak Me, a fellow blogger from HK. Then I realise a whole group of bloggers are doing it, while Blog of Shadows are compiling them together. When there is such an amazing grand-scale collaboration/project, I want to be part of it! We can motivate each other and watching each others' back. No more excuse to make impulse buys, and rather, we can use this Spending Ban as an excuse to postpone our beauty purchases!
We all have different rules, and below are mine. Just three rules, simples!
- No spending on ANY make up or skin care. No exceptions. I do welcome free gifts or samples though. Note: during this span I shall have at least 3 Glamaboxes coming in, so that can keep me entertained!
- Every single day I survive this ban, I will put HK $100 into my Fun Fund. When the ban is over, I can treat myself well (perhaps some Burberry or Guerlain make up??). :D
- My 100 Day Spending Ban starts on 1st of April and shall end on 9th of July.
I hope I can do an update every week, most probably a Tuesday. I'm not forcing myself to do so though. :P
